Job Description:

This is an exciting opportunity to work for the foremost publisher of luxury books in NYC. This is not a hybrid role and you will need to go into the office five days a week.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a team of designers, assigning projects and reviewing their work.
• Ensure smooth production processes with on-time delivery.
• Improve workflows and resource allocation.
• Proofread and review designs before final approval.
• Communicate project progress and risks to leadership.
• Conduct 1-on-1 sessions with creative team.Requirements:
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including 7+ years as an art director/designer.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a creative team.
  • Strong creative vision with a focus on business goals.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong understanding of project management and time management.
  • Knowledge of book publishing.Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree.
    • Experience with typography, graphic design, and production
    • Experience in project management with a focus on creative direction.
