Compensation Range: $18/hr - $21/hr commensurate with experience

Overview:

The Residential Aide Supervisor (RAS) ensures the wellbeing and safety of the program's clients and staff during their shift and supervises the RA staff so they can achieve the same goal. The RAS provides crisis intervention as needed to maintain residential safety and security. The RAS works with clinical and program to help promote a safe and secure environment for our clients and encourages our clients to adhere to the Residential Code of Conduct and House Rules so that they can participate in the program in a healthy and safe manner.

Responsibilities:

Primary:

  • Supervise staff of Residential Aides at the program site and ensure coverage by creating a regular staff schedule.
    Secondary:
    • Build rapport with program clients and engage with them professionally and respectfully.
    • When necessary, de-escalate tense, even hostile, client situations
      Other Functions Other functions that may be required with this position include:
      • Train staff in all programmatic policies and procedures
      • Manage staff hiring, termination, and progressive disciplinary actions
      • Coordinate and approve staff hours for accurate payroll processing
      • Conduct bi-weekly staff supervision (at a minimum.)
      • Disseminate and interpret policies and procedures to RA staff.
      • Investigate and report issues, incidents and events using approved system(s)
      • Collaborate with the clinical staff on resident behavior as well as the care of those on the fragile list.
      • Always enforce the Residential Code of Conduct and/or House Rules.
      • Conduct periodic facility walk-throughs during a shift.
        Minimum Requirements

        • Bachelor's degree preferred.
        • At least three years of work experience as a Residential Aide and/or in a client-facing role at a social services organization.
        • Certificate of Fitness to operate a Fire Panel
        • Able to lift 20lbs. with proper assistance and tools.
        • The Residential Aide Supervisor position is one which requires the staff person to be present in the program site 100% of the time.
        • Occasionally to Frequently expected to de-escalate tense, even hostile, client situations
