Reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions, you'll help develop systems that
sense, control, exploit and disseminate actionable information to
warfighters supporting a variety of missions.We are looking for a
Portfolio Engineering Lead (PEL) for our newly formed Tactical
Datalinks Product area as part of C4ISR Adaptive Communications and
Sensing (AC&S) Product Line. The Tactical Datalinks Product
Area combines the prior Multifunctional Information Distribution
System- Joint Tactical Radio System (MIDS- JTRS), Legacy Link-16
and FireNet product areas under one product area for our legacy and
next generation tactical datalinks solutions. The PEL will be the
primary engineering leader for a family of products focusing on
program execution, new business growth, product leverage, product
evolution, and continuous improvement. The PEL provides engineering
leadership for the product line during all lifecycle phases. The
successful candidate reports to the AC&S Product Line
Engineering Lead.The primary responsibilities of this role
include:
Partner with and support the Product
Area Director and staff to develop and deliver products and systems
that meet our customer needsPartner and collaborate across all the
functions to effectively support engineering across the
portfolioIdentify and support the development of critical skills
and employeesEngineering focal point for all activity within the
portfolio including strategic planning ,bid and proposal support
for engineering content, engineering strategy and integrated plans
on programs, engineering staffing, issue reporting, and risk and
opportunity management.Partner and collaborate with program
managers, functional engineering managers, and factories to ensure
program goals, requirements, and needs are understood and
achieved.Monitor project plans and execution to ensure technical
and work scope requirements, schedule, and budget are well defined
and maintained.Improve our work environment by promoting teamwork,

engagement.Proven ability to share and transfer technology across
organizational boundaries to the benefit of our customers and the
businessExcellent collaboration skills working across systems,
software, hardware and firmware engineering disciplines and with
customers and program management.Engineering background and
leadership skills with experience in multiple aspects of the
product development lifecycleAbility to lead a medium to large
group with diverse cultures and individual differences.Proven
performance management, mentoring, coaching, and communication
skillsAs a leader, the PEL must also:
Work across organizational boundaries
to solve problems and secure resources.Recruit, train, develop and
retain Program Engineering Managers (PEMs) to meet business
needs.*Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this
specific position requires US citizenship status*Required
Education, Experience, & Skills
- Active Secret Security clearance and ability to obtain Special
Access clearances
- Bachelor's degree and Minimum 12 years of technical leadership
experience and mission/domain knowledge of emerging multi-Domain
SIGINT and capabilities relevant to the business
- Prior experience managing in a Joint Venture
- Prior experience leading production programs with transition to
production knowledge
- Project engineering management including organizational design,
planning, estimating, design management, and product
verificationPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $147300 -
$250400Please note: This range is based on our market pay
structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a
variety of factors including, but not limited to: business
considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as
well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and
