Position Overview:

We're looking for an Accountant Coordinator to join our finance team! Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role leads accounts payable and supports financial planning & analysis functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to a mission-driven, community-focused organization.

Accountant Coordinator Job Details:

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
  • Pay Rate: $65,000/year

      • Accounts Payable - Oversee the full payables process, including vendor invoices, reimbursements, and reconciliations.
      • Banking & Credit Cards - Monitor accounts, manage cash flow, and ensure timely processing.
      • Accounting Functions - Assist with monthly close, reconciliations, and reporting to maintain financial accuracy.
      • Compliance & Reporting - Provide necessary financial information to banking institutions.
      • Cross-Department Support - Process journal entries, assist with special projects, and serve as a backup for key financial functions.
      • Organizational Involvement - Participate in training, professional development, and DEI initiatives. Accountant Coordinator Job Requirements:
        • 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable
        • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
        • Experience with Microsoft C.E, Business Central, or Great Plains
        • Bachelor's degree in Accounting OR HS diploma/GED with relevant experience
        • Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills Accountant Coordinator Desired Experience:
          • Experience in nonprofits or mission-driven work
          • Passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI)
          • Ability to multitask and adapt to a fast-paced environment
